Adams to speak at 10 AM Tuesday at USPS Office in Uptown Charlotte
CHARLOTTE – Congresswoman Alma Adams (NC-12), who was the first Member of Congress to call on Postmaster General Louis DeJoy to resign or be removed, is holding a press conference about the crisis at the US Postal Service.

What: "Don't Mess with USPS" Press Conference
Where: US Post Office, 201 N. McDowell St., Charlotte, NC 28204
When: 10:00 AM Tuesday August 18
This press conference builds upon the leadership and advocacy of Rep. Adams and others:
On Saturday, Rep. Adams participated in a virtual panel discussion and community meeting entitled, “A Postal Crisis, a New Postmaster General, and the Looming Threat to the November Election,” with Mark Dimondstein, National President of the American Postal Workers Union (APWU).
Last week, Adams, Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Chairwoman Carolyn Maloney and 172 other House Democrats sent a letter to Postmaster General Louis DeJoy. In the letter the Members of Congress write, "The Postal Service motto states, 'Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night stays these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds.' Let us keep the promise provided for in the Constitution to the American people."
